Tissue transglutaminase iga
Since 1997, tissue transglutaminase has been recognized to be the autoantigen pathophysiologically recognized by the immune system that leads to celiac disease. Testing IgA antibodies to ttg is a diagnostic marker that for diagnosing celiac disease that is pretty reliable and relatively inexpensive. There can be false pos and false neg, though.
