IgA serum: Iga is an antibody that plays a critical role in mucosal immunity including protection against sinus, ear, and lung infections. It is the main antibody produced daily and secreted in the breast milk, tears, mucous, gastrointestinal tract, lungs and sinuses. Patients with decreased IgA levels can present with recurrent sinus infections, ear infections, and pneumonia.
