A member asked:

My daughter age 3y10m her weight is 8 kg and her test result of anti transglutaminase-iga = 2.45 u/ml and anti transglutaminase-igg =31.79 u/ml is she normal or not??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should see your doc.: The tTG-IgA is in normal range, but IgG is elevated. This likely represents POSITIVE result SUGGESTING Celiac disease. However, a biopsy is needed to confirm the diagnosis. Because IgA is normal while IgG is high, this suggests possible IgA deficiency, which is more common in people with Celiac Disease. Either way, you should talk to your doc about the results as she may need further tests.
