Nonspecific test: IgA is the bodies first line of defense for many infections at the mucosal surfaces. An elevated IgA is often associated with inflammation or infection. The test is very nonspecific alone and I'd advise you to continue to follow up with your physician as per their request for the work up of your symptoms.
