Ultrasound test
Ultrasound is a noninvasive test that uses soundwaves to make pictures of the body. Ultrasound does not use radiation. A sonographer or ultrasound technologist uses a handheld transducer to "see" the area of interest. He/she takes pictures, which are interpreted by a radiologist. Ultrasound is widely used and is especially well-suited for pregnancies, gallbladder disease, blood vessels and more.
