DDS
Dds is doctor of dental surgery. Some dental schools prefer to give a dmd (doctor of dental medicine) which is an equivalent degree. Since dentistry involves much more than surgery/pulling teeth, many dentists feel that dental medicine is a more accurate description of dentistry today.
