How are dds and dentist different?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Two: After 4 yrs of college ; 4 more yrs of dental school the graduate is granted a dds (dr of dental surgery) or dmd (dr of dental medicine). They are equivalent degrees, such as ba or ab, or md or do. 2-5 years of additional 60 hr/wk training is required to specialize.
