Is there a real big difference to a dentist with a dmd and dds?

DMD/DDS: They are basically the same. Some schools issue a doctor of medical dentistry.

Not in US schools.: Dmd and dds are two degrees offered by different dental schools. For dental schools in the United States the degrees are synonymous and reflect the same level and quality of education. I am unsure about the level of training required in foreign dental schools.
