If a dentist has a dds, does that nessecerely means that he/she is actually a good dentist?

Hopefully it does...: A dds or dmd degree is bestowed upon dental school graduates. I should hope that all who graduate are good dentists. But as in any profession, regardless of any letters at the end of the name, some are better in their chosen field than others.
