Self diagnosis is dangerous. Get yourself checked and there is a vaccine you can get. There is a very good chance you dont have it. your wife cant get what you dont have.

Both you and your wife should get HPV vaccination. It is not feasible to know if you got HPV, but taking the vaccine will prevent infection with dangerous strains of the virus.
