A member asked:

If a guy has hpv (genital warts) he cannot get married in order to avoid transmitting of the virus to his lover? ex: she is above 26 years old.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doesn't stop wedding: People with contagious diseases get married, everywhere, everyday. It does create a dilemma, as the uninfected spouse doesn't want to catch the infection. First, genital HPV viruses are common, and many people don't know they have them. Therefore, one can get vaccinated (self-pay if no insurance). One can get warts treated to remove them. We can't remove HPV-infected cells that we can't see, yet.
