A member asked:

I had a colonoscopy earlier today. apart from internal hemorrhoids, the doctor said my colon was normal. he took biopsies of the rectum for microscopic colitis. however, the preparation of the colon was "fair". is there a chance he missed something?

With any colonoscopy there is a chance that minimal anatomical changes may be missed or not visualized. Fair preparation designates the ability to see well the mucosa throughout as many times fecal material may obstruct views.
