A member asked:

P-anca results high and ibs-d issues alleviated by cholestrayamine. colonoscopies every 1-3 years for colon polyps removals since age 30. only abnormal colon biopsy results have been lymphocytic colitis and an colon adenoma. no uc dx? ideas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, positive P-anca by itself is not diagnostic of UC. You are doing the right thing by seeing your doctor regularly. Wish you good health!
