A member asked:

I went for an ecg test and got a referral letter from the doctor to see a cardioligist. the ecg test said moderate st depression, moderate right axis deviation and abnormal qrs-t angle. i am on the evra patch. could this be the reason its abnormal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ST depression: ? old EKG for comparison? EVRA not the cause. Moderate ST depression is a nonspecific finding &could be caused by old viral infection. Coronary artery disease would be unlikely at your age. Right axis deviation is common in young people. Abnormal QRS- T angle is nonspecific T wave abnormality. The cardiologist will examine your heart, order echocardiogram and lipid panel. I'm optimistic about you.
