Endometrial width: A "12 mm" width of endometrial tissue may indicates endometrial hyperplasia, and at age 51, a biopsy is indicated. The report on the pelvic ultrasound may also indicate that "fibroids" are present, but the concern is for the thickened endometrium, which may have abnormal cells within, and should be biopsied.
