All tests came back negative for yeast, bacteria, trich, and stds but vagina still itches pretty badly. 7 days of diflucan didn't help. What can it be?
2 sm. Red bumps (bb size) on fourchette area. Recently rx'd for yeast infection w/ 2.5% hydrocortisone and diflucan (fluconazole) during antibiotic use. Not sore and itch is gone. Okay or concern? No std/age 63

Why do recurrent yeast infections happen? My gyno prescribed me fluconazole, told me to take florajen , limit my sugar intake, up my water intake. I changed my underwear to cotton but i still suffer from the itching. Std testing was negative as well.
