Why do recurrent yeast infections happen? my gyno prescribed me fluconazole, told me to take florajen , limit my sugar intake, up my water intake. i changed my underwear to cotton but i still suffer from the itching. std testing was negative as well.

Yeast infection: Bear in mind that yeast infections can be passed back and forth between sexual partners. Therefore your partner,if he has a yeast infection, should be treated also. I assume you've been tested for diabetes and are not taking cortisone type medications or antibiotics, both of which predispose one to yeast infections.
