A member asked:

Can arteriosclerosis be a reason to have erectile dysfunction although i have normal ldl, low hdl, and normal total cholesterol, i have hypertension?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypertension,,: Hypertension is a very important reason for erectile dysfunction. Uncontrolled high blood pressure is very often associated with impotence or erectile dysfunction. One of the ways it may contribute to this is by arteriosclerosis or thickening of the small arteries and arterioles in the body. It's wise to see your doctor to get the blood pressure under control for this and more important reasons.
