A member asked:

Hydrogen peroxide bad for teeth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not in moderation: Hydrogen peroxide (10%-35%) is the primary ingredient in whitening or bleaching gels. Carbamide peroxide is another. Whitening systems work on teeth by penetrating into the dentinal tubules of stained teeth. Sensitivity can occur over time and usage, both in the gums and teeth. The sensitivity will diminish when bleaching stops. But it is otherwise- safe for the teeth.
