A member asked:

Is hydrogen peroxide too hard on the gums and accelerate teeth recession?

Probably: Most often it is used as a dilute solution rather than full strength. Good oral hygiene including twice daily brushing with good technique and daily flossing should do it for you. If you have periodontal disease you should ask your dentist for specific recommendations on rinses and washes to help.

No but u need trays: The hydrogen peroxide must be contained in well fitting trays then you will not have a problem. Usually whitening is accomplished with carbimide peroxide which breaks down into hydrogen peroxide and urea.
