Heel spur: Also known as a Calaneal Exostosis, it is an outgrowth of bone on the heels, typically found either plantarly (on the bottom) or posteriorly (at the back) of the heel. It usually grows in response to stress on the bone by a tendon and subsequent inflammation; typically the plantar fascia (on the bottom) or the Achilles tendon (at the back)
