Sounds like: Your referring to the fifth metatarsal base, perhaps you have peroneal tendonitis.

Foot pain: This is a common area to get tendonitis of the peroneal tendon where it inserts/attaches to the 5th metatarsal base bone. The base of the bone can also fracture and break in many patients so you definitely want to get treated correctly to prevent a broken bone!
