Could: Be a nerve injury and/or related to the surgery. Highly suggest go back to the surgeon and make sure your arterial circulation is good namely of your pulses are felt at your ankle area. Hope diabetes is nit an ussue...

Depends: Where the burning is? If its by the bunion you may have nerve entrapment may need a cortisone injection. Likely will go away with time but get it checked by your surgeon.

Burning sensation: This usually involves a nerve that has been irritated or entrapped. There are some topical prescription creams that can be used and are available at most compounding pharmacies. See your surgeon for a prescription and try that for a while. They can help greatly.
