My 22 month old son was sick with a cold a little over 2 weeks ago. he appeared to have gotten better but today he spiked a fever and threw up. i have noticed him pulling at his ear this week but did not see any noticeable redness . gave him tylenol this

Ear infection: He may have developed an ear infection from the mucus from jis cold see doctor.

May not be related: At that age this could represent a secondary ear infection from residual fluid trapped during the cold or it could be a brand new issue. If he seems worse it may be time to have him evaluated for an ear infection or other issue.

See doctor: Ear infections usually follow a cold and it is likely he has one. The doctor can check and prescribe the correct treatment or reassure you if the ears are normal.
