They gave me a dose of azithromycin wednesday, february 17 because my tonsils are red and swollen and they also gave me tylenol and motrin but i dont have strep it came back negative but i still have very high fever will the azithromycin work?

Yes: I would continue the above treatment plan as it well structured. A fever is the normal body response mechanism to the virus. The antibiotic is to cover any possible infections.
