DBT: Dbt is a form of therapy that modifies cognitive behavioral therapy especially for people with borderline personality disorder. It brings in mindfulness and other skills training to help the person work with (rather than resist) intense emotions. These skills can be highly useful for most of us. http://tinyurl.com/on6v4vy mindfulness trains your brain to allow quietness inside + other gains.

Containment: Probably the main thing you would notice as different is that with dbt there is a requirement that you to go to both individual and group therapy. Dbt combines standard cognitive-behavioral techniques for emotion regulation and reality-testing with concepts of distress tolerance, acceptance, and mindful awareness largely derived from buddhist meditative practice. Best wishes.
