Healthy fat/protein: Starting your day with cereal, milk, and juice does you no good. The healthy way to eat is to have a breakfast with healthy fats and protein. With those a small amount of complex carbs with a low glycemic index is ok. Eggs are almost the perfect food so a couple of eggs with vegetables and some avocado, cheese, or coconut oil will give you even energy through the day.

Quality Protein: A slow emptying protein with a complex high fiber carbohydrate will digest slowly in the stomach and cause a slow sustained release of sugar in the blood. For example. Steel cut oats (porridge) as the carbohydrate and a glass of milk as the protein. I would also add in a fresh serving of fruits such as a banana or blueberries for extra fiber and bulk.
