Generally: No, however you need to see a specialist to see if your condition can be treated with cardioversion or drug therapy. You also run the risk of blood clots due to the pooling of blood in the atria. See a specialist to determine the best treatment for you and get treated.

Ask your heart doc: According to the ama, antibiotics before dental procedures are needed if you have anything foreign in your heart, have had endocarditis before or have a congenital condition of the heart. As always though, dentists usually defer to whatever your heart doctor or family physician wants you to do.
