A member asked:

I have mild mitral valve stenosis. i need to know do i need antibiotic before any dental procedure? if yes how mg? and when to take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Recommendation: Probably not. However, that said, your Dentist will want to communicate with your GP or Cardiologist. Current recommendation is that prophylactic antibiotic coverage for mitral valve stenosis is probably not necessary before dental procedures. Your Physician knows you best. Check in with them.
