A member asked:

Hi there, are people with barlow syndrome at any additional risk if they contract corona virus? antibiotics are usually prescribed for dental procedures and we're always told to be careful of infection, so do we need to be extra careful? thank you

Likely: any difference in physical function places one at relatively greater risk regarding fighting infection, Everyone should be being extra careful now but yes ,worth a bit more effort. Social distancing and good hand washing , vit D 5000iu/ 1000mg sustained release VIt C should also be good choices if your own doctor agrees.

Be safe: consider yourself in a high risk category and act accordingly. Do everything possible to support your immune system and reduce inflammatory burden on your body.
