A member asked:

I've had post dvt 8 yrs ago now pregnant, should i terminate pregnancy? am i at high risk to get dvt again even on clexane injections

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sort of: We would not suggest termination for a past history of dvt. We would (usually) suggest prophylactic clexane injections (40 mg a day at least) and maybe therapeutic if needed. You are at increased risk for a DVT while pregnant. That is different from a high risk - which would depend on the other risk factors you have for dvt. See your doc to get evaluated for your risk specifically.
