Deep vs. not deep: DVT is a problem of the large deep veins. It is not a problem of superficial veins.

Spider veins: Spider veins are not at increased risk to develop DVT during pregnancy. Spider veins are only superficial tiny veins and have no relationship to ones ability to develop DVT.
