Hi, i am 9 weeks and my doctor put me on clexane 40mg twice a day, please can you advise the risk for the baby and do i have i have to take it from so early in my pregnancy? i had a previous dvt when i was 21 due to the pill i was on (yasmin).

Relatively safe: This is a category B drug when used in pregnancy. This means that comprehensive studies have not been done but existing studies reveal no risk to the fetus. Category D or X are avoided in pregnancy. The need for this med is best determined by those with access to your full history. testing and exam findings.
