In what trimester of pregnancy might you get an emboli or dvt?

Any of them: Pregnancy creates an hypercoagulable state which can lead to blood clotting. This is similar to the state of sitting for a long period of time in a car or plane. More coagulation can mean more blood clotting. There is less return of blood to the right side of the heart so blood can pool in the lower extremeties where most DVT originate. An embolus happens when a piece of DVT breaks off & travels.
