Itchy gum: There could be cement left under the gumline or an open margin of the crown trapping things, have you gone back to the dentist to have it checked? If you are on a regular check up schedule you should have been back by now at least once. Go get it checked out.

See dentist: The best way to address this problem is to go to the dentist who made the crown. He knows your case and should be able to help you better than anyone of us that have not seen you or know the details of your problem.

Crown Cemented: Go to the dentist and have them look to see if you have any extruded cement in the sulcus where your gingiva meets your crown. Sometimes there can be a situation where excess cement doesn't get thoroughly cleared/cleaned an perhaps this is what is giving you this sensation.
