Thrush or: Oral candidiasis is generally a superficial fungal infection of the mouth characterized by white flaky patches most often on the sides of the cheek and roof of the mouth.It is most common in those whose immune systems are compromised or after antibiotics. They must be distinguished from other forms of leukoplakia which may be signs of serious illness like oral cancers. See your doc.

Sounds like it: Typically the white spots or plaques will wipe of and leave a red area underneath. If you suspect thrush call your dentist or md for evaluation. Its unusual to a teen to get it. Maybe you have a systemic issue or on an antibiotic? Get checked.
