Not usually: Unless the screw used in the bunion correction is prominent or you're having a rare reaction to the metal, screw removal does not usually help with swelling. Swelling is normal after bunion surgery.

Need info: First is why are you having swelling? If its related to screw backing up? Then removal should with time have swelling reduce.

Swelling: Once again , we don't really have all the info we need such as when was the surgery , when did walking resume, what was the surgery etc. See your surgeon - he/she does have all this info and can help you properly.
