Somtimes: Depending on the amount of swelling that you presented with, there could still be some swelling present after having a dental abcess drained. Typically, your dentist will prescribe some type of medication to help reduce the swelling and infection. It's always good to follow up with them and let them know how you're feeling after having something like this done.
