Sparingly: The first best choice is acetaminophen. You can take a narcotic combined with Acetaminophen if absolutely necessary for pain relief. Percocet is one such medication. Take it if only absolutely needed.

Pregnant with pain: You want to be careful taking any medication when pregnant and if you need to manage post-op pain generally tylenol (acetaminophen) is the medication of choice, if you need anything stronger you should consult with your dr first to weigh the risks as well as the absolute need, but if you can manage the pain without narcotics please do so for both you and your unborn child.
