Yes: You need to insist on getting an appointment sooner than 3 weeks, or find new dentist. It is not healthy to be on antibiotics for that long. The source of infection (the tooth) needs to be addressed or the infection will not go away. A Percocet would be ok to take. Your limitation is the amount of tylenol (acetaminophen) in each pill. Each Percocet may have 325mg of acetominophen. Do not exceed 3000mg a day.

Don't mix medication: Please consult your pharmacist to see if that is advisible. You probably do not want to take both at the same time, but you can takean otc advil (ibuprofen) in between doses if you do not have problems with that drug.

See your dentist: You are having a tooth ache, taking antibiotics and pain medication and its not helping you. You can not wait 3 weeks , most likely your infection will get worst and you won't be able to function. See your dentist asap . They may have to change your antibiotics or treat the infection. Any other pain medication would only take your pain away temporarily.

Why 3 weeks?: You should be seeing your dentist asap. If you need something as strong as Percocet for the pain you have an emergency situation.
