Yes/No: Visine can help make the eye look better because it constricts the blood vessels in the eye. It is not a treatment and should not be used long term s it may even make things worse. Artificial tears can be used to lubricate the eye. If symptoms do not improve or get worse you should be seen by an eye md.

No: Visine constricts the blood vessels in the eye so that is doesn't appear red, but it does not treat the underlying bacterial or viral infection causing pink eye.
