Perhaps, but beware!: Visine or clear eyes are otc eye drops sold for red or itchy eyes. These medications work primarily by vasoconstriction of the inflamed blood vessels of the outer layer of the eye--common to eye allergies or irritation. However, these are not useful for red eyes due to infection. It is best to consult with your eye doctor to select the best treatment for you. An eye antibiotic may prove better.
