No: Simple sugars and processed carbs should be avoided or limited. This includes any flour product. The fine grind makes absorption quick, and spikes your blood sugar which increases Insulin and promotes weight gain. Good fats such as olive oil and coconut oil are fine in sensible amounts. Eat a rainbow of organic vegetables and just enough protein.

Yes: Bread can be part of a healthy diet when eaten in moderation with other foods. Whole grain, high fiber breads are preferred over white processed flours.

Bread is fine.: Bread is fine, but it really should be whole grain, not white or even whole wheat. Whole grain bread has a good fiber content, allowing you fill up with fewer calories and stave off hunger longer. What you put in your sandwich is also important - lean proteins, raw vegetables.
