Injection: Ultrasound guided injection of local anesthetic and steroid can alleviate inflammation in the joint. This is another key step in figuring out if surgery will be helpful also ultrasound can be used to evaluate other causes of hip pain, like snapping hip.

Not sure ask your: Doctor, what he or she is thinking.... Not the standard way for work-up of labral tears, but there might be something else he or she is thinking, or trying to evaluate. Ask him/her, could you please tell me why we are getting this ultrasound, and what will it add to the recommended treatments.
