Hemoglobin A1C: This is a normal % of h1c, but do not stop exercising or eating healthy diets. It is good for you.

Yes you should: Physicians typically measure a1c after they see your blood sugar measurements are high, try to be up and active at least 8 hours a day, adding 30 minutes of brisk walking or heavy household work which elevates your heart rate to the point of not being able to talk in sentences. Eating healthy means fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins to keep your weight in the normal range. Good luck.

5.8 is not bad,: however OPTIMAL a1c is about 5.0 or better. So, you should definitely keep exercising and try to eat even healthier if possible. Avoid or strictly limit sugars, starches and grains. Focus on vegetables, meats and healthy fats. Work with a wellness-focused doc for best results!

Pre diabetes: 5.8 is still in the pre diabetes range. It's always a good thing to maintain good dietary and exercise routine. Don't stop. Good luck.
