Not taught when I Was a student.: This was not taught when i was a student. I did look it up on wikipedia and then went to the psychology today review on limbic rings.. It does appear that they are definitely a sign attractiveness and perhaps health as well. They do fade with age and with worsening health . They are the dark rings surrounding the iris of the eye and are between the colored iris and the white cornea. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Limbal rings: A dark ring around the iris of the eye is a dark-colored manifestation of the corneal limbus resulting from optical properties of the region. Limbal rings become less pronounced with age and are considered attractive. Not aware of medical education leading to interpretation of the significance of limbal rings.

Limbal ring is a : Dark ring around the iris of the eye. It disappears with age. Psychology studies showed lumbar rings influences facial attractiveness. Nothing to do with health status.
