I know limbs fully recognizable on fetus 12 weeks, are limbs always fully recognizable on a 12 week fetus with iugr?confused when doctors say iugr means small for their gestational age.. does small also mean arms legs others things show up later

Small means small: Essentially all fetuses have all external parts formed by 12 wks, The Small for dates label is applied to those who are not putting on weight/size as expected for the stage of pregnancy. There are various potential causes from a poor placental attachment, maternal high blood pressure, metabolic issues,infection & many others.
