A member asked:

I hava had an ultrasound which show hetergenous utres.what does it mean, why do i have it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Heterogeneous: Heterogeneity is a nonspecific term that means not all of the uterine muscle looks the same. The report should indicate what (if any) significance there is to this finding. Uterine heterogeneity can be seen with uterine fibroids and adenomyosis (both of which can be associated with pelvic pain and other symptoms).
