A uterine "tilt": is relatively common, and usually of no significance.. A tilted uterus per se is not an abnormal situation, but a normal anatomic variation. That said, in a minority of cases there may be associated pain with intercourse or menstruation. If that is the case, there are procedures to treat it. Ultrasound is the simplest way to assess the orientation of the uterus.
