A member asked:

I got an ultrasound today and they told me my ovary is overlapping my uterus. what does this mean?

Nonmedical terms: "An ovary overlapping the uterus" is a descriptive nonmedical terminology of very unclear and uncertain meaning; if you have no pain and your ultrasound exam was otherwise normal, there is no cause for alarm.. Your right and left ovaries are very mobile internal organs which may be found in different locations around your uterus within your pelvis at different times.
